There has been much staying in during the drizzle apart from a trip to East Putney for New Year's Eve and a trip through the storm to Aldwych for an appointment at Australia High Commission (Passport's in the post).  As I battled my way from Blackfriers my umbrella snapped and flew off to the basement level of the Crowne Plaza Hotel while onlookers laughed at me standing there with my stick.
